IWG members pay annual membership dues. Membership is valid from September 1 until August 31 of the next year. The IWG 2017/2018 membership dues are 300 PLN. After January 1st, dues are reduced to 250 PLN, as any new members have missed the first half of the membership period.
To join IWG, we ask you to submit:
- a fully completed membership form
- membership fees (see above)
Fill out the membership form online here (preferred method), and you can bring the membership fee (cash only) to any IWG coffee or meeting.
Or you can download and print out the form here (PDF). Please fill it out and bring it to your first IWG coffee or meeting together with the membership fees (cash only).
(Potential members are asked to read the marketing bylaw regarding sales and commercial services, the IWG is a social group.)
Membership also includes:
The Warsaw Handbook: A detailed, comprehensive guide written by our own members to help you adapt to and discover Warsaw. We often update and revise so it’s a wonderful resource to members new and old.
Monthly Newsletter: IWG members also receive a monthly email newsletter packed with useful information about our events and activities, what is happening in Poland, places to visit, etc.
IWG Facebook Group: this closed, members-only group is a terrific community resource. Ask questions, search for recommendations for local service providers in the group archives, or just network with fellow expatriates in Warsaw!
Monthly Meetings: Each month IWG hosts a lecture or workshop of interest to our members. It’s a great chance to catch up with friends or make new connections. Our meetings are held at the Marriott Warsaw, a downtown location with easy access, and include coffee, tea, fresh juice, and pastries.
Coffee Mornings: We also hold weekly neighborhood coffee mornings at various cafés around Warsaw on a drop-in basis.
Christmas Luncheon: Held at the end of the year at a luxury hotel or equivalent venue, it’s a wonderful opportunity to toast the old year and welcome the new one. A full lunch and drinks are included.
Spring Luncheon: Yet another luxurious event to enjoy a meal (included) with friends and discover or revisit a lovely venue.
IWG Small Groups: A directory of all the small groups that fall under the umbrella of the IWG, everything from art lessons, cooking class, life coaching, book clubs and so much more. The groups are open to all IWG members.
Cultural Visits: Semi-monthly visits organized to discover Warsaw and beyond. Often guided, we visit Warsaw’s cultural and historical sites together. Past tours (and maybe future) have included visits behind the scenes at the Opera, the Parliament, art museums and even the Wedel Chocolate factory. We try to keep the costs low for members and subsidize participation costs where we can. The tours are often free.
IWG Small Business Directory: This directory is currently being revamped. When complete, it will offer IWG members a way to network with each other, find services in a language or location convenient to them, and make fabulous connections in Warsaw and beyond!
