Join the IWG day-long trip by a Retro Train to Kampinoski National Park on September, 22nd (Sunday)

This trip is perfect for kids and their parents, people who have a passion for steam trains and narrow-gauge railways or those who want to spend Sunday with friends in the bosom of nature.

EVERYBODY IS WELCOME TO JOIN SO TAKE YOUR FAMILY WITH YOU

SCHEDULE OF THE TRIP:

  • 8:10 – meeting point: at Warsaw’s Palace of Culture and Science
  • 8:20 – bus departure
  • 9:30 – arrival at The Old Trains Museum in Sochaczew (Licealna street 18)
  • 9.50 – 10:30 – a visit at the Old Trains Museum with a Tour Guide in Polish or with a

    Tour Guide in English (extra cost 120PLN/group)

  • 10:30 – 11:45 – a ride on the Retro Steam Train to Kampinoski National Park (Wilcze Tułowskie)

  • 11:45 – 12:25 – a short walk in the forest with a Tour Guide

  • 12:25 – 12:35 – a ride on the Retro Train to Tułowice

  • 12:35 – 14:15 – a bonfire* in Tułowice (on the meadow next to the small river Łasica)

  • 14.15 – 15:20 –  a return ride on the Retro Train to The Old Trains Museum in Sochaczew

  • 15:30 – 15:40 – a return from Sochaczew to Warsaw by bus

     
     

*Food and drinks at the bonfire are not provided. You can take it from home or buy at the bar/small shop on the spot. Maybe let’s share and have a picnic

You can also get to Sochaczew by your own car, it is about one hour drive. Be sure you will be at 9:30 in front of the Museum.

 

The cost of the trip:

  • Registration fee: 10 PLN

  • Museum and Retro Train ticket:

    • 30 PLN/adult;
    • 25 PLN/child above 4;
    • 10 PLN/child under 4 (on adult’s knee)
  • Bus (with 20 seats) transfer: 50 PLN/person when 17-20 people on the bus*
    *In case of number of participants between 17 and 10 bus rental costs per person will increase up to 90 PLN. Minimum of participants 10 people.

9th September – IWG Monthly Meeting

Let’s celebrate together the end of summer and the start of an exciting new season. Join us on Monday, 9th September from 9.00 AM at our Monthly Meeting in Hotel Marriott.

At 10.15, Agnieszka Kowalska, our keynote speaker, will talk about how you can find the job that best suits you. An expat child in the 70s and 80s in the USA, then a spouse and mother of two in the UK over 10 years ago, Agnieszka has first-hand experience with how to start “all over again”. Now a career counsellor with expertise in the recruitment process, she is helping people realize what really matters for them personally when planning their careers. Agnieszka also co-founded “(Z)Powrotem w Polsce” helping Poles who are either considering coming back or have already returned to Poland to adjust to the new reality of living again in their homeland.

10th July 2019 – IWG Trip to the Old Train Museum in Sochaczew

This trip perfect for young kids and their parents or people passionate about steam trains and narrow- gauge trains. Everybody is welcome to join!

The trip by Retro train is scheduled as one (it goes every Wednesday in the summer) it is not only for IWG members. It is summer time and organized groups may be interested.

To be sure that we have seats on the train, we need to book them and pay in advance. Cost of the trip per person 60 PLN for adults (Tour Guide in English not included)

16th June 2019 – IWG Family Picnic

It’s time for our yearly IWG Family Picnic again! Are you an IWG member? Great! Bring your family on Sunday, 16th June, from 12.00 to our summer get-together in Pub Lolek, Rokitnicka 20. Choose whatever you like from the menu and spend a lovely afternoon together with other IWG members.

Children will also be entertained: at 14.00, one of our members will read to them fairy tales in English. Plus, there will be a playground in the vicinity of the table. Buggies are welcome and afterwards you can enjoy a walk in the beautiful Pole Mokotowskie park.

10th June 2019 – IWG Spring Luncheon

It has been a very exciting year so far in IWG so let’s come together for the IWG Luncheon to talk all about it. This is a free event for all IWG members.

However, please remember to RSVP by Sunday, 2nd June. It is very easy: each IWG member receives an email with the registration link and you just fill in the form. You are welcome to bring a guest, if you wish, for an extra fee of 200 PLN.

This year’s theme will be Fashion, Health & Beauty. You will have the chance to admire an exciting array of products from Polish and exotic artisans and vendors. You will have a lot of fun shopping. What will be on offer, you ask? Accessories, clothing, color consultation, hair styling, hand spa, body massage, make up, face yoga, personal training and more. To bring even more fun and glamour to your experience: The Fashion Show will start at 12.00.

At the same time, you can support a charity of your choice. IWG is proud to offer various charities the opportunity to interact with anyone who is willing to learn more about their activity and encourage it through various means.

So mark your calendars and bring along with friends! The entrance is free and open to everyone. Our event will be held in the Marriott Hotel on Monday,13th May from 9.00 a.m. to 3 p.m. See you there!
